The indoor adventure center, Adrenaline Monkey, will be opening its doors for The Federation of International Ninja Athletics (FINA), competition for the first time on November 24th. Debuting this year, FINA is an international ninja warrior obstacle course series. During the competition, athletes will have the opportunity to compete on a course designed for speed, a course designed for endurance, or both. Whichever option the athletes choose, there is a path to qualify for World Championships in June.
“FINA is the league that is bringing the sport of ninja athletics back to its roots of Ninja vs. the course,” shared Roy Krauthamer, co-founder of FINA. “An athlete that shows up at a FINA event, no longer needs to worry about what other athletes are in the field. All they need to do is conquer the course and earn their spot at the World Championships.”
Both FINA Speed and FINA Endurance athletes will be permitted to compete in the following age groups: 6-8 years old, 9-10 years old, 11-12 years old, 13-15 years old, Adults (ages 16-39), and Masters (ages 40 and up). FINA is also the only league to offer an exclusive Hero Division reserved for active or veteran military, police, and firefighters. FINA’s inaugural event will take place in Lancaster, NY on November 2nd and 3rd at Hybrid Ninja Academy.
“I am excited about our partnership with FINA,” shared Owner & Founder of Adrenaline Monkey, Denise Carkhuff. “Adrenaline Monkey and FINA share the exciting mission of having an elite league that is designed for everyone. This is a great opportunity for both experienced and novice ninja athletes to compete or cross train.”
This competition is presented by Walltopia Adventure, Adrenaline Monkey’s preferred partner and manufacturer for adventure equipment. To learn more and register for the FINA Competition at Adrenaline Monkey, please visit https://adrenalinemonkeyfun.com/fina/.
